Default What is the biggest advantage of Windows XP SP2?

What do you guys think is the biggest advantage of installing the windows xp SP2? Thanks.

Security..........If you work offline it wouldn't do you any good. Miaght as well be called Security pack 2.

I never installed any SP and never got hacked or infected or anything (except by IE ofcourse).

LOL: IE = Crap Firefox 1.5 = Cool Man!!! SP1 and SP2 don't affect most pc users as most of the sercurity and bug fixes affect network plaforms etc.

i really dont like service pack 2

i dont need a firewall, i have a router

and i want to update windows by myself.

sp2 dont force u to auto update, and u can turn that lame xp firewall off.

Regardless of that even I think you need SP2 to update windows now well you could use SP1 I guess but between those two as your choices your gonna take the latest correct?

i think you should be able to update SP1, because microsoft even releases updates for 98, and its really old...

Microsoft no longer writes updates for windows 98 but still holds the downloads for the updates that were written. This was about 2 years ago. Welcome to 2005 .
