What is the best freeware for hex editing?

Google is a little too powerful some times. Searching Google gives me way to many options, and I don't have time to try them all.

I was wondering if there are any hex editors that you guys have used that really stood out. Something powerful, yet simple. Something like GMail.

I'll be open to non-freeware suggestions as well, but only post those if you truly think they're amazing.

I've decided to go with Hex Workshop, if anyone was else was interested.
