Hey provoko,

You are correct the free version of Zone Alarm does NOT
allow port configuration.

I have been using and highly recommend Zone Alarm PRO.
This version allows port forwarding, program access to the
LAN and/or the internet, Trusted Zones for a LAN, and
as you asked you can allow your machine to ICMP ping reply.

Let us know if you need info on setting Zone Alarm PRO
up it's really pretty easy.

I would say, don't use software firewalls, go with a linksys router that has a built in firewall if your looking for better security.

Shut down everything and have more fun with your offline games.
It just isn't needed in my opinion,i don't use one.
