I'm pulling my hair out on this one!
I'm running Win2k and VS.Net 03Pro on an old IBM Aptiva P3/550. The computer's totally stable except for one thing: scrolling. Everything else works, but scroll up and down a few times, and it crashes. A real, old-school crash with the screen getting gibberish on it and the mouse locking up a few seconds later, not a blue-screen.
It did that when I was installing Win2k, as well. Back then, I'd restart and it would occasionally say I had 192mb ram instead of the correct 256. Figured it was a bad ram chip and removed them one at a time, but now it never complains. It wasn't the other memory slot, either; I tried both.
What's going on? Thanks in advance for helping me puzzle this one out!
