Default Weird Problem

I've just defragged my computer and when I rebooted after it has successfully completed, my whole desktop has gone weird.

I can't up the resolution and I can't up the colour settings from (lowest 4 bit)

Here's a screenshot:

I checked through all my drivers and it says they are all working properly.

Thanks for help.

I would recommend just re-installing your video card driver.

if just reinstalling doesn't work, get a vid card driver cleaner (for whatever type card) and use that. Also, set the vid to 'standard PCI graphics adapter, VGA', it doesn't matter that its AGP, this is a generic driver. Restart to the ugly screen again then reinstall the drivers.

Your video card driver may have been deleted or corrupted by the time you defragmented your machine.
Just remove the current video driver and reinstall a new one, it could be fix the problem.

Thanks guys. It's sorted now. I don't know how they went missing. I've had nothing but trouble with these ATI drivers since the day I got my card. It insists on installing a secondary driver but when I do it makes everything go slooow so I have to uninstall it and get that "new hardware found" pop up all the time.
