Not sure if anyone has some expertise in this, but here goes. Basicically, we just upgraded our core switch, and readdressed most servers. We have a webpage that departments access, and it looks as though in the code, somebody references the HTML file by computer name. So when you first launch the site, it goes to an HTTP address, then the link is setup to go to a \\servername\webpage.htm. Now, in there, when buttons are launched to execute files and scripts, we get PERL.exe errors. Now, if I change the \\servername to http://servername/webpage.htm
, it works without issues. DNS and WINS records are correct. Any ideas what the difference is between referencing the share rather than the HTTP? This worked without issues before.
