volume buttons??

Hi,

I have a Compaq Armada E500 Notebook. (win 98)
But I installed win. XP. Every thing is OK but the
Volume up and down buttons are not working.
I tried to install the driver from Compaq.com.
But Nothing happend. I can remember some one
had made it for me once by installing a driver from
compaq.com. but I formated the laptop again.

Try downloading the drivers for both audio and your keyboard. You can get them from the compaq website here, just make sure that this is the correct laptop: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...le=en_US&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=96231

Ok, but what windows do I have to choose??
The original (win 98) Or the windows I have right now (win XP)??

oh ok, but is it a problem where to install it?
I installed it in the windows file.
