I have recently installed Fedora Core using VMware. Everything works execpt I do not get and internet connection in Fedora. I go to a university that uses a residential network that you must sign in on before you can access the internet. When I set up the guest OS on VM i set the NIC to NAT. This did not work. I played around with Fedora's network settting and got nothing. A friend told me that I need to install VMtools first. I tried that but I need to be able to start Fedora in text mode. After this I played around with VM virutal network wizard and nothing worked.

1. Any Ideas what setting I should have my network on in VMware
2. Should I have to mess with the network settings in Fedora
3. How do I get VMtools installed (How do I restart Fedora in text only)
