It's called ReadyBoost. Put in a Thumb Drive right click on it Properties. From there click the Readyboost tab and use it with readyboost.

But unless you have 1GB or less of RAM and 2GB or more of a ReadyBoost USB drive it will not do you any good.
 
is it better than nothing? I have 2gb ram.
*UPDATE* I out in the 1gb flash drive with nothing on it, setup readboost and it is good. Still says only 2gb ram in properties, is that right?
 
Yes. It only reads the System Memory. Of that you have 2GB. This is only a flash based RAM. It will be barely used with 2GB alredy on the system. If at all.
