Here is the nitty gritty.

I have recently upgraded my Asus A8N-E motherboard to have 4 Gigs of Ram 3 Corsair and 1 Kingston 1 Gig Sticks 3-3-3-8 DDR400 Mhz Now with 4 Gigs Windows Vista 32 Bit can only see 3 Gigs on my system and I know why that is already. When working in Vista Enterprise Edition I can be doing something and get a blue screen Memory_Management Error and this is annoying as XP Pro 32 Bit didn't do this. Attached is the dump file that was generated. I will tell you what I have tried so far. I have Ran the Windows Vista Memory Test Tool and Memtest 1.70 the newest Version and all 4 Gigs came back fine with no problem. That was the first thing done. Next I tried installing a diff O.S. just to make sure something hasn't gone crazy it worked fine. I have now just recently tried turning off a setting in the motherboard that always "A 32 Bit OS to use PAE to see the 4 Gigs" which doesn't work anyway and So far it's running ok so if that's it GREAT but I dunno I want another opinion.

I just seen this over at Beta Place...

Anyways i think WinMac is right. Vista doesnt like the 2 different types of RAM. Take out the 1 Kingston and you should see this problem go away.

Vista is Dumb why do you even wont it.

Xp will run better. and chances are your computer doesn't have the 1gb of ram it takes to run it properly.

I think its just a rip off of Mac Os X

I am not to sure how it runs if it runs any better or anything but i have read some reviews and its just all show. and i personaly believe that they made a new skin and ust made it harder for people to Pirate it is all.

but good luck.

tell me how it goes.

Your vuews are 1 sided and present no evidence. I have personally run Vista with no issue of any kind since July. I was in the Beta and have used it strictly since RC2 was released.

The reviews are also 1 sided as they always point out the flaws and someone has to be paying for the article. Who says that it isnt already unbiased when written.

It is good to make it harder to pirate. It is the pirates that have forced the prices to raise so they can cover the cost being lost to piracy. It does have some things from OS X yes but OS X has something from Vista as well.

XP doesnt always run better either. I have had much better luck running VIsta than XP. Vista at this time is safer since it is new and hasnt been out for 5 years and being exploited. There are no known flaws at this time. Only software flaws from Office or other applicaitons. No actual Vista flaws are present at this time.

So please dont try to swade people with this. If you are personally against Vista that is fine. But there are just as many of us who have had absolutely no issues with it at all.
