Default vista is stealing focus of other apps?

Ok, I tried to search for this but for some reason the advanced search does nothing when clicked on. When I fullscreen dvbdream the taskbar still shows. The keyboard shortcuts still work but the its annoying. Id post this in the dvbdream forum site but something also happens with MPC. As soon as I press the mapped button on my controller MPC opens but looses focus. So any other mapped shortcut will not work until I click on it with a mouse.

Why is vista stealing the focus from these apps?

I'm running vista x64 sp1. Please help.

Default Re: vista is stealing focus of other apps?

Vista is not stealing focus. The apps are not taking the focus away from Vista. They are not being the apps that after you start them to be the main focus. You say it goes away when you click on them with your mouse. This goes to show that the Apps are not hte main focus when you start them.

Alt + Tab to make them the main focus or check your settings. This is not something that Vista does normally.
