Vista +SP2

I've been reading that SP2 causes trouble with intel 64bit processors. Having a q6600 with vista x64 i'm reluctant to get it. Couldn't find any reports about it being fixed but it's been a while since it was released so is it safe to download or should I just let it be?

sp2 was great for Vista. No problems here. ran ultimate x64 sp2 with my i7.
