I have a Bytecc USB HDD enclosure that I bought before Vista came out. I upgraded to Vista SP1 and tried to use this drive. While the drivers were installing, I get the following BSOD:

Stop 0x000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8068108E, 0x88763B10, 0x8876380C)

partmgr.sys
Address: 8068108E
Base: 80680000
DateStamp: 47918f82

The drive works fine in XP, and pre SP1 in Vista.

I have attached the minidump file.

Things I have done:
I have sent the error report to MS.
According to Bytecc's website, this device is supported by Vista.
I ran scandisk and found no errors on the device.

Can someone tell me what is going on and how to fix it, or do I have to just wait until Vista gets an update?

Thanks in advance!

According to Bytecc it is supported by Vista but did they update the drivers for SP1?

According to the Stop code the error is most likely caused by the driver install. The drivers were incompatible.
