Microsoft has finally made the due date for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) official: The update will ship in the latter half of 2007.

Vista SP1 is due in the second half of 2007, after all | All about Microsoft | ZDNet.com

This seems a bit soon to me. I think they have been following what people have been saying online: i.e. "I won't run Vista until SP1 comes out."

I'd be curious to see what's inside it though.

I'm glad to hear it's coming out this year. I wish it would be coming out sooner but on well. I have been running Vista 64 for a few weeks now and really like it over all. It is a resource hog though. Hopefully it will be better after SP1.
