I just upgraded to windows vista and have a lexmark 1185 3 in 1 printer
i loaded up the lexmark cd and took a very long time to install just to give me
errors telling me that it was not installed properly?? i tried different ways
going into devive manager and updating driver for the printer and it says
device working properly and i come to print....give me errors....now what?

this printer is only 1 1/2 old and still a great printer(to me anyway)
and would like it to work

Can someone point me in the right direction or send me the proper drivers

Thanks:confused:

guaranteed the lexmark CD you have only has XP drivers and not the Vista ones, go to the lexmark website and download the Vista drivers and that should solve your problem

Lexmark has had Vista drivers for a while. I got mine for my X1150 aobut 5-6 months ago.

They didn't when Vista shipped. My mother-in-law had a $100 paperweight.

No but it also has been 9 months since Vista shipped. No one had any drivers released when Vista was. They sat on their thumbs for 3 months since Vista was finalized in Nov and released in Jan. So really they should all be slapped since they had just about 3 months to get drivers ready and no one did.

HP did, but they are built into Vista. She could use our all in one, but not her new Lexmark. She took the computer back and got one with XP.
