Just built me a new machine, and just barely installed Micro$oft Windows Vista Home Premium x64 and so far it's been a nightmare.

My main task I'm trying to tackle right now is that I cannont install the Forceware 169.25 for Vista x64 for my new 8800GT EVGA card. I go through the install process, and everything seems to work... until I restart my computer for the changes to take effect. After the restart, thinks load, and it still says I'm using Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

It's driving me crazy.

After I get this, I can fix the issue with sidebar.exe bringing my computer to a grinding halt every time I turn sidebar.exe eventually dies.

Go to Guru3D and get Driver Cleaner Pro. From there clean out all drivers for the video card. Then go into safe mode and install them.

If that still doesn't work then extract the drivers to a folder on your desktop and lead the device manager there. That should force install them.
