Default Vista Home Premium Q's

I just recently had a friend buy a laptop and it came wth Vista. I am use to setting friends up with Zonealarm Firewall, Ad aware or Spybot S&D, and Mozilla Firefox. Are these programs compatible with Vista, because i have heard that vista has a lot of compatibility issues. If so, what are some good alternatives that are vista friendly and free, for Anti Virus, Spyware/Adware protection, and firewall.

I don't know about Zone Alarm or Spyboy, but AdAware and Firefox should be fine.

Yeah firefox, spybot, and adaware work fine. I'm using ESET SmartSecurity for firewall/antivirus. It works good. Here's the link to it: ESET - Essential Security against Evolving Threats

I know the free version of zonealarm works, and I had originally planned to use Zonealarm on my machine after they got it working on Vista, but after using ESET, I'm just going to keep what I've got now...after all, why fix something if it ain't broken?
