Vista CD Drive Problem (Nero etc)

Hello, just haveing a weird problem with my desktop the CD drives all work and read fine when i put CD's in but when i want to burn with Nero or DVD shrink etc they dont show up?

any ideas?

Are you sure they work fine? Have you tried to reinstall the software, check for firmware updates for the drives, remove and reinstall the drives via the Device Manager?

Its a really weird problem mak, the drive shows when theres a blank cd in? but when theres no CD it doesnt show LOL ?

yeahh they work perfectly ive looked for updates didnt do nothing..

If it doesnt show up when there isnt a CD in there is a issue. The drivers are faulty, the driver database is faulty or the hardware itself is faulty. As that shouldnt happen at all.

I would check the hardware, then try some of the steps i mentioned above.
