Vista on Acer TravelMate 2420

Has anyone here had any experience running vista on any of the Acer TravelMate laptops or anything similar? I am thinking about trying out vista on mine (TravelMate 2420) but am not sure if it is completly compatible. I ran the vista upgrade advisor tool and it gave me a few alerts on some of the important drivers and things such as the touch pad on the laptop.

Also, would it be best to dual boot or is there something better I sould try.
I have a copy of Vista but no serial number. I know microsoft was giving them out but had stopped, will I be limited to a certain amount of time before I have to activate? Haven't really had any experience with vista so far.

Ya if you are going to put vista on you should dual boot just in case it doesnt work out then you could just delete the vista partition and be back to xp faster.

I have a Acer desktop I do not have a vista on mine so let me know how it works out.
