Default Vista 64 vs XP 64

If i had so amny issues with vista home premium 64 bit that i rolled back to xp media, is xp prof 64 going to be any better if i want to utilize all my RAM? Meaning will i still have driver problems or has xp 64 gotten past most of it since its been out longer?
