virtual memory help

Hi Folks
Can someone help please
I have an e machines computer with 512mb ddr
p4 processor
The machine keeps running out of virtual memory
I have set it to all the recommended settings including letting the computer manage it but it still runs out.
I do, do a lot of copy and paste from the internet to microsoft word and may have a number of pages and documents open at the same time

How big is your pagefile?

The page size is 768mb but I have tried it everywhere even at 3000mb
