Video problem

Whenever I play a video in windows media player, quicktime, realplayer, or sopcast there is a white tint over the screen. The only player that I have that does not have this problem is divx player. I tried upgrading windows media player to the latest version, which did not work. I then tried uninstalling wmp and then reinstalling wmp 9 which also did not work. Any ideas?

EDIT: I found a way fix it. Apparently video overlays were causing the problem.

In each player I went to tools - options - performance - advanced - then turned off "use video overlays" and selected "use high quality mode".
