Talking Video Editing Software...

I purchased a MiniDV camcorder about 3 months ago, I have an 11 week old daughter, so we will be making a lot of home videos.

Anyways, the video editing software that came with it stinks. Can anyone recommend good software with basic functions, I'm not doing anykind of professional editing. Looking to spend around $100.00.

Thanks.

I really don't know of any really good video editing software for the PC. Pity.

I use Sony Vegas & NeroVision. Vegas is very intricate & complete but it's expensive.

Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5

(for you, adobe premiere elements is ok, i have never used it, but it should be good)

EDIT: if you are just trying to chop, slice, and mix clips together, just use Windows Movie Maker. *But be warned that it does not sync titles/multitrack audio very well*

I would say Pinnacle Studio 9 but seeing as how it won't RENDER MY VIDEO which I had slaved over for months, Don't get it. What mini DV cam you get? Sony? I have one of those, and yes, the software sucks ***.
