Any video editing pros or enthusiasts here?

I'm looking for any alternate video editing software that may be better or easier to use than Vegas Pro. I've only used Vegas Pro to do basic things and I'm just wondering what any of you may prefer. Before asking, yes I've already Googled. Just want to hear some opinions on different software suites.

Can be Windows or Mac software, in case there are any Final Cut users.

I use DVD Movie Factory 7 it's not a great video editor but it is simple to use, it has a disk burning addition but it's buggy for me so I create a dvd video file and burn it with Nero. I also have Nero which also has video editing feature but it's more complicated than it should be

I've read in Maximum PC that Vegas Pro is supposed to be a very good video editor

I saw that DVD Movie program in another list.

I use Vegas Pro and it's a great program, but I do simple stuff. Cut, copy, paste, combine, add audio, ect. Just maybe seeing if there is a 'better' program to do this, or maybe something easier. Vegas Pro has a ton of features I'll probably never use and when looking for simple things I find myself constantly Googling when to me it seems it should be a bit easier, well should be anyways.

There's always Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Would probably just need Premiere though.

Friend of mine gave me that CS6 suite key. I just figured Premiere would be more complicated considering how relatively complicated Photoshop is.

Yup DVD Movie Factory is simple to use and has easy to understand options. Has a trial but not sure how limited this is

I'll give it a whirl, thanks.

More than likely, lol. Couldn't tell you for sure though - never personally used it.

Yea I'm not as versed in video editing as I am in hardware hehe. Guess it's time for trial and error and maybe a bit more Googling to just learn it.
