Video Conversion Softwares?

I've also used Mencoder in Linux. Although it's for Linux and it's only commandline, it can be helpful for converting rarely used formats like Ogg Theora to more common things like AVI or MPEG. I used it because GTK-RecordMyDesktop for Linux would only make Ogg files, and I wanted to upload them to YouTube and edit them together, which needs more common formats.
