Critical Update
Load Power Profile
Go Back Polling Service
Register Drop Handler
Machine Debug Manager
Scheduling Agent
Script Blocking

create a hijackthis log and post it in Viruses & Spyware> Hijackthis log analyze forum on TF. You can find the application by clicking downloads in the top banner.

I would have everything in that list unchecked, even Norton, since Norton is a real resource hog, and there are free antivirus programs which are actually better

I use a program called Antivir Personal Edition, which is really fast, uses very little resources, and seems to detect more viruses than Norton

I ditched norton a while ago for pccillen (came with my mobo)

Core 2 Duo E6400, DFI Infinity 975X/G, 2x 512mb DDR2 667mhz, Albatron 7900gt, WD 200gb SATA, Samsung DVD-RW, Silverstone ST-50EF 500w PSU.
