I am running a Win. 2003 Server with Veritas to perform backups. The server is for a client of mine. The media is a single tape. The problem I am having is the Veritas Software is not Enterprise edition and seems to be more gui interaction than I prefer. Since the tape library only holds one tape how do I name the tapes so that I can know which ones to use for restore. The client is not willing to purchase anything. I am using one tape called Daily Incremental Sat. - Thurs. and 2 tapes for Normal backup on Fridays. The normal tapes are alternated every week. The Veritas Software names these tapes B000000016 Set 1, Set 3, Set 5 etc... I have tried to re-name but the software overwrites the name everytime. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
