I came across a new function in folder guard a while ago called "validate user name" this basically makes sure the user has an account on the windows 9x/me system and if it doesnt returns an error message (all this is going on at the logon box by the way) where as without this it creates a new user on the local system for the user.
It seems a bit silly to install folder guard on every computer on my network jsut to use this feature, not to mention the cost of the licences. So i was wondering does anyone know of any program which does this or any registry setting which can be changed to do this.
Unfortunatly i cannot setup the windows 98 system to get the accounts off the win2k system as itsd not a server.
I dont mean disabling the ESC (Escape) key at logon as i already know how to do that.
Any help is welcome
