Default Ut oh..

Ok, I finally got XP and Debian Linux to Dual Boot. A friend of mine helped me out with this. There are only a couple of problems. He helped me set up my sound card, but it sounds really staticy and doesn't sound right at all. It detected the wrong audio device, meaning it found a device that I didn't have. That's my first problem. The second problem is installing, removing, uninstalling things, and so on. Is there a tutorial or something like that that might be able to help me? Oh, by the way, I have a Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit.

Athlon XP 3200+
Corsair DDR 400 512 MB Ram
Seagate 160 GB 8MB HD
9 in 1 card reader
Lite On DVD∓RW/ drive
Sony 52x CD-Rom
Evga 128 MB 6600GT 8x AGP

www.linux.org has a great tutorial in the courses section. I reccomend you work through that. Also you might get more help with the sound issue in the Linux forum.
