User account cannot access shared folder by host name

Hi,

I have a user account that cannot access a shared network folder by it's hostname. It can ping the machine by its hostname, access the share by IP Address, and other accounts on the same machine can access the share by hostname. I've tried statically assigning DNS servers, changing the hosts file and nothing has fixed the problem.

Any ideas?

Can other accounts access by host name (not on that computer)? What error does it give?

Yes, other accounts can access the share by host name.

It doesn't give any error, an explorer window opens after and then stops working.

Any NTFS permissions set on the share?
