Urgent Prob Need Fix Asap

So i just got another hard drive.
And i installed vista on it.
So my defaul hd has xp and the other has vista.
Vista is running fine so far, but i want to go back to the other drive and run xp...so during the boot the dual boot option comes up and asks to boot to vista or previous windows.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CANT CHOOSE.
My keyboard wont work, i cant do anything, and theirs a timer and since its default on the vista options, it boots with vista.
Is their a solution to this or am I screwed?

If and when you get into windows, edit your boot.ini file so that XP is first.

hmm, it got fixed somehow...im not sure how.
I went into my bios and tried enabling some option that was like keyboard support.
Well it works now.
