Urgent Help Needed!!

Hi, i am a n00b at computers, and i delted something from my registy thinkin it was a .exe loader for a trojan or someting but now all my .exe's wont open! not even MsPaint or anything!! is thier anyway i could fix this without Reformatting my HD?? thnx.. btw im using Windows XP Home on a P4 2.8 1gb ram

EDIT: When i try open a .exe i get this error message

"c:\\WINDOWS\System32\****.exe" (*** being the program)

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options Control Panel.

Never heard something like this...

If you can't run Exe files you can't start windows as well.

So how did you start it?

Half of windows files are exe files.


Looks like you need reinstall

Try post this matter to Microsoft...
And Post the answer here......

Did you try "F8" - Last known good configuration" ?
