upgrading oc soon

im changing mobo and cpu
would i have to reinstall windows xp
and becuase i have Xp disk
and the pc is different can i not update my xp
and also if i have to reinstall windows
wont all my files get deleted?

you will have to re-install Windows since your HAL will be different with the new hardware. you will get a BSOD. you will lose your files unless you back them up before you format. if you have a legit copy of XP you will be fine for updates. you have about 2-3 installs before you have to call microsoft and activate by phone.

When you get a new motherboard and CPU you're going to have to re-install everything. You can back-up files by copying it into Data Discs or you can get another HDD and transfer it to the new HDD.
