Upgrade to XP

Simple stuff... just wondering if we should download the Norton aintivirus update before or after we install XP (we have ME now)... or if it even matters. Also, I was wondering if it is possible to clear the hard drive when I install XP (the upgrade version) thanks.

Install XP, install updates, then drivers, then software. That works best for me.

You can format using the upgrade cd if you have a prior windows cd. Boot to the cd to do the install and format when you get the option. You will be prompted at some time to put in the previous version cd to prove ownership.
Make sure you have a qualifying product, for example I dont think you can upgrade to xp pro from 98. Look into it

Dont do a upgrade take ME off like you want to a upgrade will be screwed up.
