Uninstall Windows Blinds

I used to use WB as something that would make my pc have a feel of its own, but now, when I want rid of it, it says that access is denied to files like "INSTALL.LOG" and "fastload.dll." These are not read only, so I figure that they must be in use, so how can I make them not in use, and effectively get rid of WB forever?

Try going into safe mode.

Could you tell me how to do it please? I have a suspicion that it involves going inot msconfig...

hit the f8 key before the win xp logo... if you dont get it, try a bit earlier, like after bios posts (the initial signs on activity on your monitor)
windows blinds suck away too many system resources. =0

Is there another similar program which doesn't take up much system resources ?

i used windows blinds for a while because of its attractiveness factor.. but I realized how much it tries to emulate the KDE platform in linux, so I made the switch just based on looks..and I'll never go back hehe. try customize.org it has alot of programs under "shell themes" that you can check out. I believe the next popular windows skinner is 'litestep'
