Uninstall .NET framework?

How to remove all components of .net from my Windows xp? it is version 2.0 SP 1.

I want to install version 2.0 earlier version.

oh boy ... everything greek and latin to me .

One of my software needs net version 2.0 and the net version on my computer is 2.0 sp 1.

May be I need to ask a computer tech to do it?

What software is it?

Have you tried uninstalling the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 in Add or Remove Programs in the control panel?

The software should still install with .NET 2.0 SP1. If not you should get a updated version of the software as .NET 2.0 SP1 is a must have update.

Does it not work with 2.0 SP1? It should be compatible.

But if for some reason, it's not compatible, you can have multiple versions of .NET installed at the same time. They intentionally created it that way. You should be able to have 2.0 SP1 and the previous 2.0 version installed side by side.
