Unexplained Alt-tabs

I will be in the middle of playing a game i.e. starcraft or counter-strike, and all of a sudden, the window minimizes and im stuck looking at my desktop. I suspect it may be a pop-up like internet virus type thing, but I just dont know. Ive run ad-aware, spybot, etc. and I have a pop-up blocker. What is the problem?

disble your popupblocker and see if it still happens
