Unable to create printer

Hi,

I've encountered a curious problem.

It seems that windows can't create a Printer anymore when i'm installing a program. I've installed Adobe Acrobat and comes with it Acrobat Distiller (a pdf printer) but after the installation, no printer were created. So i've tried few different programs and the problem persist.

Windows can't create a printer anymore from a installion !

I can create a printer manually, but it's not working fine since I must use some random printer drivers.

Any clues?

what other printers are you trying to install?

you must have a corrupt spooler. you might need to reinstall windows

how do you get a corrupt spooler?

different reasons. I got one once while try to print a super high resolution picture that my printer has no way of printing. I had got one another time (I don't remember how). your printers don't work. you can't install new ones.

this is one problem that I've never figured out. I reformatted instead

DOH!
Do not have the time to backup and format the whole thing... no printer for a month, a least !
