Un hidding files

Hi,

I not sure why but the other day I was messing around hit a button to hide most of my files. I have been able to...

Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.
On the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

But this only vaguely makes them reappear and when I go to close them I run into problems, something about this 'Normal' file already exists.

So how do I unhide files that I have previously hidden?

right click the file go to Properties, at the bottom there are 2 check boxess, 'read only' and 'Hidden' , just uncheck 'Hidden'.
