Two crashes in as many days-should I be worried?

Last nigh, Half-Life (original, non-steam version 1.1.1.0) crashed on me. This afternoon, exploer (the shell) crashed on me (while I was re-arranging icons ithe quick launch bar). Neither time did windows crash. Should I be worried about hardware problems as a result? Or were they just flukes?

Two crashes in as many days

This would depend on the Windows version you're using. XP is far more stable than W98/ME. I have found XP is far more stable than earlier versions and it rarely crashes out by me, although periodically it does for reasons which I have never been able to fathom out. The time to start worrying is when that happens with great frequency, ie more than daily which happened in my case with one grey box supplied by a dodgy dealer. You could ask your supplier for some guidance.

Open Event Viewer and have a look at the logs for around the time you had crashes.
