Trying to convert Home mp4 file to dvd. No Dvd maker in windows 8

I have a bunch of old family vhs videos that I convert to mp4 files with Windows Movie Maker. I was trying to convert them to dvd but Nero /video 11 keeps chasing. So I decide to use Windows Dvd Maker...

Only it's not in Windows 8. I need a decent proram to handle this task that recognize Windows Movie Maker mp4 video files

Hmm, haven't seen your mug in awhile, good to see you again eric.
Also this may do for your needs, mind you I haven't tested this on my windows 8 pro nebook yet.

That will handle all of your needs and then some I use a blu-ray ripper version of aiseesoft.

If you don't mind paying, I would pick that up soon.

Lately I've been using Freemake Video Converter. Free Video Converter | MP3 MP4 AVI 3GP MKV DVD | FREE Download

Not sure if it works for Windows 8 though. I assume it would but I don't have 8 so I'm not sure.
