I'm using XP Pro and recently when I boot up I get this warning from this "Trend ChipAwayVirus" protection saying there is a boot virus on my machine. I have run a Norton, McAfee, and Pestpatrol scan on my computer and it did find a "pest" in the memory and eliminated it. But still when I boot up this message comes up.
I tried to remove it (Trend) from the system as I don't even use that program but it is embedded somewhere I can't find. When I start the machine the Trend ChipAwayVirus Guard comes up on the lines that tell you the type of processor, memory, hard drives and all that stuff screen. I looked through the registry but couldn't find it and not being real knowledgable about messing with the registry I left it alone.
I want this "protection" off my computer and am asking for your help.... yet again.
