Reinstalled windows XP. I still have all my files on my hard drive but 80% of them are now Transparent, or hidden files.....so? How do I change this and get my files back?

but I want the hidden files to work. They are from my previous set up. All the EXE files on this computer are no longer in my programs either, I have to hunt them down to use them

I'm not so sure that you can. Did you do this as an upgrade?

No, I was having problems with my computer, the horrible "blue Screen" acutally, so I ran repair on XP profession, and now things are just all screwy, but running fine. It's just messing and I can't find anything.

So what kind of files are you talking about? I would just get as many as you can, burn them to a disk, and reinstall. Sounds like you are having more problems that its worth, worse than the last install you had.
