wht is the most user friendly version of linux. I use to use mandrake. is there a better option, now?

I'd probably say Ubuntu or Knoppix, as they don't require install.
Just pop the CD in, and boot it.

Probably still Ubuntu (or Kubuntu if you prefer KDE). I haven't heard the greatest things about Mandrake.

I haven't seen Beryl yet, but I'll have to have a look. Gave Vista a go the other day and it looks very nice.
