I am brand new to this forum so if I posted this in the wrong place please forgive me!
I wonder if someone can help me with this. I have been unsuccessful in getting help from Smith Corona. I have the Smith Corona model PWP3600 word processor since about 1993. I have a lot of .PWP files created on the word processor that I would like to transfer onto my new PC. I read in the manual for the word processor that I can save a file as an .ASC and open it up on my PC. I followed the instructions on saving a .PWP file into an .ASC file and tried to open it on my PC but I got a ‘Disc is not formatted’ error. Is there anything I can do? Could this incompatibility be due to how much computers have changed since the early 90’s? Thanks for your help.
