Tranfer Windows Media Player RATINGs?

I rated a LOT of my songs and i am upgrading my windows media player.Is there a way to tranfer the ratings??

Run the Windows Media Player 10 and turn on Tools | Options | Library | Maintain my star ratings as global ratings in the media files.

Well i got a Windows Media Player 10 And some files and all are missing so i am gonna reinstall it ?? Will it work ....
