Totaly Messed up

my computer is totaly messed up. i mean i installed windows a few times but no help. when i do something or play a game it closes in about 5 mints the report sending thing to microsoft. whats up? can i fix it?
Windows xp
pentium 4 2.4ghz
60gb hard drive (empty)
512 RAm
64 Video CArd
