Top anti - virus / spyware scanners?

I think they've or a few of the best anti virus / spyware scanners have been mentioned before, but I can't remember, it was something like nod32 or AVG. And with spyware scanners it was something like Spybot search + destroy or windows defender.

If anyone can give any good reccomendations then that would be perfect, purchasing an activation key or w/e won't be a problem
