Tired of losing you customized setting with Firefox when you reinstall windows?

FF has so many extensions that you forget them all. when you reinstall windows you forget most of them

if this is you, then this guide is for you.

download the synctoy from powertoys. here is the one that don't require ms snooping (validation)

you need net framework 1.1 to install this

open it. pick create new folder pair. Head to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\odnkhrlu.default\folder

make you a new folder elsewhere (preferably a different partition) name firefox backups. browse there for your destination folder. click synchronize.

when you reinstall windows just copy and paste those contents back to that folder and your saved setting are put back in place. your bookmarks, your google info ad your extensions are there

another good benefit is that it keep your passwords and cookies as well. the purpose of synctoy is to always have your FF info up to date
