theme settings problem

after i did a complete system on my system a couple days ago my theme will not stick...i mean when i apply a theme then have to restart my computer for some reason it will change

Are you doing it through 3rd party software like Wincustomize stuff or with a replacement of the UXTheme.dll?

no..i just right click on the desktop

Sounds like your profile is not saving right or your themes are corrupted.

I just dont understand what a complete system of a system is. :freak:

i had to erase everything off my computer because my brother downloaded a keygen off limewire and i had like 1800+ virsus on my computer and i did decided on a antivirus, i tried KIS but it slowed my computer down to bad

So you did a complete reinstall of your system. Okay that makes sense now.

Is this XP or Vista?

Okay that explains a bit more. Did you restore it to factory settings? Or did you use the Recovery Media to reinstall?

yea everything is in the factory shaped condition

Okay now check the Device Manager.

Right click on Computer and select Manage. there on the left side of that screen you will see Device Manager. Click that. Is there any devices that have a yellow ! by them?
